Bride War

I'm not writing a review here, just wanted to let out some feelings. Click this for a better synopsis / trailer. The story is about two best friend Liv and Emma, who played, lived and dreamt their life together since their childhood. Their biggest dream is to have their wedding held in June, at the Plaza Hotel, and an accidental mistake make them rivals when both of their weddings are clashed at the same date, at their dream venue. Their lifelong friendship is put into test when both of them are not giving in to each other. Apart from the main plot, the sub plot towards the end shows Emma finally admitting that the man she's supposed to marry is only in love with the '10-years ago her'.

This is supposed to be a comedy, but I feel sad when I see them hurting each others when they are supposed to be each others maid-of-honor; when I see Emma finally have the courage of bursting out that her supposedly husband-to-be was only in-love with the old her.

I cried....
because I feel the same for Emma, moving forward but the relationship still stays at the past;

I cried....
because I will not be able to become my best friend maid-of-honor and attend her wedding which is coming up soon.

The final movie quotes:
"Sometimes in life there really are bonds formed that can never be broken. Sometimes you can find that one person who will stand by you no matter what. Maybe you will find it in a spouse and celebrate it with your dream wedding. But there's also the chance that the one person you can count on for a lifetime, the one person who knows you better then you know yourself is the same person who's been standing beside you all along."

And what I thought of at the moment after their fight in the ceremony; when they realized that they are supposed to be lifelong friends and not rivals is this quote that the wedding planner mentioned at their first meeting:
"A wedding marks the first day of the rest of your life. You have been dead until now. Were you aware of that? You’re dead right now."
It's more on their friendships which are dead until they'd gone through 'the' test...
